With a huge array of restaurants dotting Dubai’s skyline, it becomes increasingly difficult to choose one. But a restaurant that serves wide variety of cuisines under the same roof, all equally delicious and at affordable prices, wins a thumbs up. Khau galli is one of them.
A cosy restaurant nestled on the sides of JLT lakes can’t go unnoticed. Its bright red name plate catches instant attention and so do the vibrant interiors once we step in. as we go ahead, food becomes the focal point of attention. Their Chaat Platter is the best way to start a hearty meal- it contains everything from Pani Puri, Ragda Pattice, Vada Pao, Papdi Chaat and also a Katori Chaat. The Choley Bhaturey are as tempting to eat as they are to see, while Sarson da Saag and Makki ki Roti is yummy with butter and gur. Water melon juice was the right accompaniment for a hot day and the quintessential chai served in a kulhad was the perfect closure to a memorable meal.
Service was prompt. While the interiors are peppered with Bollywood pics and funny quotes, their outdoor seating is a must-visit for cooler months. Summer or winter, Khau Galli is the one of the best places to visit for Indian, Indo-Chinese and Continental food.
