Sheikha joined SeaWorld in October 2023 and oversees the production and delivery of innovative and unique educational experiences, provides consultation, and delivers high-quality training programmes for staff.
Sheikha Al Qassimi is an Education Instructor at the Zoological Department in the Education Department at SeaWorld Yas Island Abu Dhabi, where she manages the educational team to ensure seamless operations. She also passionately directs educational initiatives at the Yas SeaWorld Research & Rescue Centre’s laboratories, catering to diverse age groups including adults and children from schools, and universities.

She is also responsible for creating, planning, and executing seasonal events including heading the popular “Animal Under the Spotlight” Monthly Animal Celebration Days calendar presented by SeaWorld Yas Island Abu Dhabi. Her adeptness extends to VIP tours, welcoming high-profile celebrities, and royal families. Furthermore, she spearheads SeaWorld Camp, a captivating educational experiences programme themed around the ocean and its inhabitants for kids between 7 and 12 years of age.
Prior to joining SeaWorld Yas Island Abu Dhabi, she interned at the Centre of Forensics & Digital Sciences, Abu Dhabi Judicial Department where she gained hands-on experience in evidence handling and drug chemistry and toxicological analyses on biological samples thereby contributing to accurate and reliable forensic analysis while ensuring compliance with UAE’s ethical standards.
Sheikha holds a major in Cellular and Molecular Biology and a minor in Cognitive Science from the United Arab Emirates University (UAEU).
