Carluccio’s: Flavourful Italian food at the finest location

The delighfully charming restaurant excels in its Italian food offerings and is the go-to place for casual Italian dining in Dubai.

My search for delectable Italian food brought me to Carluccio’s last week and I was amazed, to say the least. Carluccio’s owes its success to its simple, yet unique casual dining concept. It  is a foodie’s treasure not just in terms of cuisine, but everything including its strategic location, lively interiors and warm hospitality.

Carluccios Dubai Mall offers indoor and outdoor seating and with its location bang in front of the stunning Dubai Fountain with the majestic views of Burj Khalifa, one cannot ask for a better place to dine! Though we visited on a weekday, the restaurant was buzzing with people, denoting its immense popularity.

Carluccio’s offers authentic Italian flavors at very reasonable prices. The menu flaunts varieties of pizza, pasta and risottos. For appetizers, we ordered the Tomato & Pesto Bread and Aranchini Rice Balls, two of Carluccio’s popular orders and both didn’t disappoint! An Italian meal without pasta is inadvertently incomplete, so we chose spinach and ricotta ravioli in a creamy butter sauce. The dish was well-balanced and the butter sauce gave it a rich, smooth texture. We added Vegetable Pizza and Mushroom Risotto to our mains, both were highly delectable.

To end this magnificent gastronomic experience, we gorged into the sinfully delicious Tiramisu, which is pleasantly welcome at all times. It happens to be the most ordered dessert at Carluccio’s, and for good reasons. Fresh out of the Carluccio’s bakery, Espresso-soaked Savoiardi biscuits layered with whips of mascarpone and cocoa tasted heavenly on all counts!

To sum up, Carluccio’s amazing service, authentic food and world-class views win a big thumbs up making it a family favourite. The lively interiors and chirpy ambience add a beautiful vibe to the place.  The various outdoor booths ensure that dining with friends and family with stunning views of Burj Khalifa and Dubai Fountain ensure a memorable meal- time experience. The staff is amazingly hospitable and service is prompt. Taste wise, food is great- one can feel the freshness of the food and the authenticity of ingredients.
