Cost for meal for two- AED 350

Must try- Hummus Platter, Date Bonbons, Pesto Baby Potato, Watermelon Salad

A Normal Day is perhaps Dar al Wasl’s well-kept culinary gem.

A far cry from the glitzy, glamorous luxurious restaurants that dot Dubai’s gastronomic landscape,  A normal Day makes a mark for itself with its simplistic decor, understated charm and warm sunlight that floods the restaurant lending a unique, comforting feel.  The crimson- hued painting on the wall surely lends adequate colour to the otherwise soft and subtle surroundings. You  feel at home the moment you arrive.

A Normal Day pictures a casual and tranquil vibe. The staff makes you feel at home from the word go. Their smiles and cheerful persona are enough to make you feel that you have arrived at the right place.

Coming to the food, like the ambience, the menu screams comfort food that we have been having for years but still cant have enough. Some are the usual classics like Hummus Plate, Zataar Bread, House granola with Greek Yogurt and Avo & Mango Toast while there are subtle innovations to existing foods like Pesto with Baby Potato, Watermelon Salad, Date Bonbons, Cue-ki Carpaccio (kiwi, cucumber, pistachio Salad) that gently evoke a sense of  quest and I must reckon that we are not disappointed. We finished off with the delicious chocolate mousse and with a warm, contagious smile from our server.

The timeless appeal, the gentleness of the decor and the classic and innovative food won us over and I would love to return to enjoy the great vibes and of course the food again.
