Dubai is emerging as a global food destination. So, obviously there’s no dearth of choices and that makes our task of choosing eating out places even tougher. But if a restaurant ticks all boxes for right reasons, it becomes irresistible for gastronomes. TOTÓ Restaurant is just one of them.
TOTÓ is a classy, Italian fine dining restaurant located in the heart of Downtown Dubai. The restaurant spells elegance from the word go! Its strategic location, elite chandeliers, black and white photographs, the glistening tableware, soft and subtle music are enough to captivate our attention.
Going forward, our charming server Ciel wins our attention for her swift and sleek service and of course, minute attention to our dietary restrictions. Being vegetarian, we ordered Burrata and Zucchini (with grated Parmigiano Reggiano) which tasted great. For the mains, we had Gnocci, Ravioli, Pizza (topped with artichoke flowers, mushrooms and olives) and Grilled Asparagus which tasted good and were presented beautifully. The dishes were mouth -watering and quite evidently, prepared with fresh ingredients.
Moving on to the dolci (meaning ‘sweets’ in Italian), the Burrata Cheesecake stole the show for its fabulous taste. ‘Guarda che fico’, homemade figs filled with vanilla ganache, honey and figs jam was another mouth -watering concoction that made us drool over its looks and taste alike. And not to forget the all-time favourite Tiramisu that tasted heavenly!
TOTÓ’ s classy interiors, delectable delights and service par excellence won us over especially it’s gorgeous chandeliers, but as the winters are coming up, the delightful outdoor seating also proves to be a major draw. The ambient varieties of vegetarian dishes make TOTÓ a go- to dining spot for hardcore vegetarians, too.
Indoors or outdoors, vegetarian or not, TOTÓ is sure to enamour foodies with its gastronomy, interiors and exceptional service and location.
