Sunny Leone brings her brand Starstruck to Dubai

Celebrity star Sunny Leone was in Dubai to launch her distinctive cosmetic range called StarStruck by Sunny Leone. Hundreds of fans waited to greet her at Dubai World Trade Centre where she inaugurated Concept Big Brands Carnival mega sale.

Expressing excitement on her return to Dubai, Sunny Leone said, “Dubai is one of my most favorite places in the world and I have received so much of love from the fans here. It is an amazing feeling to launch my product here because the best of the best things are always available in Dubai.”

A busy mom to twins Noah and Asher (who were born through surrogacy) and adopted daughter Nisha, Leone rightly understands that today’s moms have lots of roles in their portfolio and hence need beauty kit that helps them in brisk makeup.

Dressed ravishingly in a fuschia coloured knee-length outfit and matching earrings, Leone addressed a press conference on the occasion. Commenting on StarStruck’s strategic collaboration, Leone said, “Starstruck is a five- minute long-lasting makeup that has been tailor-made for busy working women who juggle responsibilities and want to look attractive and glamorous. The whole idea is to enable busy ladies to do their make up in just five minutes before they step out.”

Leone’s venture to move into the line of cosmetics is something very close to her heart. Leone reminisces her childhood when she used to rummage through her mom’s vanity case to scout for cosmetics. Her love continues and it is evident in her brand with its wide variety of lipsticks, glosses and liners amongst many others.

And it’s not the usual saga of celebrity lending her name to a product. StarStruck is a labour of love and toil which Leone has been personally trying and experimenting over the recent years. “Also, I am glad that no animals were hurt during the testing,” revealed Leone. The 37- year old Canadian- Indian celebrity who calls Mumbai home, already has her own line of perfumes to her credit.

Speaking about the much talked about #Metoo movement in the Indian entertainment industry, Leone opted to stay afar by claiming that she is focused on building her own life. “I worry about how I want to run my business and how I am going to feed myself and my family. Personally, I don’t believe in comparing myself to others or their issues. My focus is on running and developing my business.”

Leone’s career is studded with stints in adult film industry, Bollywood films and reality TV shows like Big Boss. The star also featured in the superhit urban Punjabi dance number called “Baby Doll ” from Bollywood movie “Ragini MMS 2” in a lead role. She is one of the few actresses that have starred in her own biopic “Karanjit Kaur – The Untold Story of Sunny Leone,” which traces her journey from an adult film star to being a household Bollywood name.

There is definitely no substitute for hard work,” reckons the star.
