SaifTea First Production, an award-winning production house presents, a Hindi comedy play called ‘Mahabharat – Ek Chirharan’. This parody of Mahabharata is an entertaining play about a dramatic show that a group of work colleagues’ stage for their annual gathering day. A play within a play, all the “cast” are actors in the office facing various difficulties and disabilities. This layered slapstick comedy also features the hilarious interaction between a frustrated director and his attempt at directing a play with his quirky colleagues.There will be four shows, 10th and 11thDecember 2020 at The Junction in Alserkal Avenue.

Directed by Nilesh Deshpande, this slapstick comedy is a crazy journey and it is all set to take stage in December at the Junction – the home of independent community theatre in U.A.E – with the audiences buzzing in anticipation. Nilesh Deshpande, the Director of the play added, “I love making people laugh and I love to entertain, but this time we will tickle them and make sure they end 2021 on a high watching our show and thinking about it for days”.

 This play has one of the most experienced cast of veterans that includes Devendra Lawathe, Prakash Kelkar and Ujjwala Joshi and several newcomers where each character is uniquely curated with its presence in the story.

The producer of the play who is an ardent theatre fan, Saif Khan says, “Reading a script which is so funny, is a winner for me already. The story of the play is such that it is a play in a play, which gives actors more room to improvise comedy. This slapstick comedy will not only make you laugh but make you fall in love with the character on the stage.”
