Glittering décor and a towering festive tree set an enchanting scene for legendary toy shop Hamley’s to pop up at the ultra-luxury hotel. Over the Christmas weekend, exclusive seasonal activities bring guests endless ways to enjoy the festive enchantment!
With a captivating history spanning over a century, the renowned Hamley’s toy store is set to unveil its Santa’s Grotto in collaboration with the iconic Burj Al Arab Jumeirah. This enchanting event promises to be a delightful experience for children and families alike, blending Hamley’s legendary magic with the luxurious setting of Burj Al Arab.
Hidden within a luxurious suite, the Hamley’s Grotto awaits young guests, offering a most magical holiday involvement. The enchanting experience is complimentary and can be arranged exclusively for in-house guests. Upon arrival, guests will be greeted by the alluring scent of decadent hot chocolate and gifted with a distinctive Hamley’s teddy bear accompanied by an additional surprise present – if they are on Santa’s Nice list. The experience is the perfect way to embrace the season’s magic and can be booked between December 22nd – December 26th.
The partnership between Hamleys and Burj Al Arab was unveiled during a stunning tree-lighting ceremony on December 6th. The atrium was elegantly transformed into a winter palace, accompanied by seasonal music and a captivating performance by the award-winning ballet academy, Turning Pointe.
The all-crystal Christmas tree, standing at an impressive 20 feet wide and 32 feet tall, stole the spotlight beside a 32-ft. waterfall. Its branches, reaching out with grandeur, were adorned with 3,040 tear-drop crystals inspired by the hotel’s logo, accompanied by an array of 10,000 lights, 3,000 ornaments, and 2,000 pounds of intertwined garland. This mesmerizing spectacle was further enhanced by over 1,400 presents encircling the base of the tree, complemented by 1,000 Hamley’s signature teddy bears. As the tree illuminated the space, it created a dazzling fusion of elegance and festivity. The celebration was a true testament to the holiday spirit, providing guests with a memorable and enchanting experience. The magical ambience continues throughout the hotel this December, with endless ways for the guests both young and young-at-heart to embrace the joy of the season.
On December 25th, Santa himself will make an appearance and greet in-house guests between 10 am – 12 pm, to start a day of festive delight. Later, a kids’ Christmas Bash will envelop little ones in a world of holiday wonder, with festive activities, a petting zoo, a bouncy castle, and a piñata, promising endless entertainment, and the making of treasured memories.
