It goes without saying that Lebanese food is super popular in Dubai. While I love dipping into the all time favourite like hummus and biting into the crispy falafels, I am constantly in search of restaurants that serve authentic Lebanese in imemnse varieties. Here comes Derwandi in the picture.

The name Derwandi comes from an iconic Lebanese character of 1970s, Its interiors are appealing with (faux) foliage lending great vibes as do the gorgeous lamps hanging from the ceilings. A beautiful pitcher fountain lends that perfect oomph and the tiles offer the right Arabic feel to the ambience. It  also has the perfect outdoor seating to enjoy the cooler climes.

Coming to the food, we gorged into an array of delightful offerings like  creamy mushroom Soup followed by Spinach Fetta Salad, Hummus derwandi (with that added pesto touch), , Muhammara, vegetarian falafel sandwich, Halloumi Cheese with cherry tomatoes and the delicious Mafroukeh for dessert.

The flavours were awesome and food was delightfully served by Khader with warmth and attention to detail. I highly recommend Derwandi to all who cherish Lebanese cuisine. The charming interiors and the warm hospitality are just few add-ons to this memorable dining experience.
