The spirit of independence can never be over-emphasized. Every Indian takes pride in unfurling the tri-colour flag and paying tribute to the innumerable sacrifices of the freedom fighters. Our hearts swell with pride to know that India has come a long way and established itself as one of the most powerful democracies in the world.
Such joy, pride and honour was quite evident in every member of ICAI group and their families as they celebrated India’s milestone 76th Independence Day in Dubai this Saturday. As always, ICAI Executive Committee pulled out all stops to organise a grand celebration to commemorate India’s freedom from the shackles of the colonial rule.
On this occasion of #Ázadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, Chief Guest, His Excellency Dr. Aman Puri, Consul General of India to Dubai gave a heartfelt address to the attendees. Guest of Honor, Mr. Vaibhav Dange- Author & Former Private Secretary to Shri Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister of Road Transport, Highways and Shipping shared his precious pearls of wisdom. Mr. Abhishek Singh, an IAS officer, actor, entrepreneur and motivational speaker addressed the members and guests on the true meaning of freedom.
Outstanding achievers who have propelled India’s pride to greater heights like Femina Miss India 2022, Ms. Sini Shetty and Mr. Harvinder Singh- Paraolympic Archer 2020 Summer Paraolympics also graced the occasion and enthralled the audience with their inspiring words. They inspired the audience to ‘dream big to achieve’ despite all odds by sharing their phenomenal journeys of achievements.
A painting competition for children was also organised. The grand finale to this colourful programme took place in the form of patriotic dance numbers that added a special flavour to the Independence day special programme.
